2006 Shelby GT-H Ford Mustang #137 of 500

40th Anniversary Edition of the Hertz “Rent A Racer”

 In 1966 the Hertz Corporation and Carroll Shelby produced 1000 Shelby
Mustangs. Together, they made these high-performance, special-edition Ford
Mustangs available to car rental customers and the car rental business was
never the same. 40 years later, the thrill is back. Introducing the Shelby GT-H, a
one-of-a-kind limited edition, available exclusively through Hertz. It’s just
one of the many exhilarating cars that you could reserve. And unlike the 1966
Shelby, this one comes equipped with SIRIUS Satellite Radio.

I am the first registered owner of this former rental car after it was auctioned off by Hertz through Manheim Auctions.  The car was delivered from Shelby to the Hertz Rental Office at the Phoenix, AZ airport where it remained until auction.  It is listed in the Shelby registry and only has 20760 miles. Since my purchase in December 2007, the car has never spent the night out of the garage or been driven in the rain.  It has been adult owned and well cared for.  I have left it PURE HERTZ STOCK with original gold stripes, maintenance stickers, protective plastic in the driver floor and original HERTZ Sirius Satellite Radio.  If retaining collector value is important to you, any modifications or changes reduce the future value. It comes equipped with the Shaker 500 Sound System from Ford.  I have all of the original Hertz / Shelby documentation that will be included and other goodies collected in the last 4 years.  It is Shelby CSM # 06H0137 which desiginates it is car # 137 of only 500 produced.  This is a great collector car as it has all history retained, NO modifications, stored in an air conditioned garage and driven very little.  The battery was replaced 3 months ago with a factory original Motorcraft battery to match the original.

The car has a few (maybe 5) very minor scratches that was a result of rental car service.  All can be made to disappear but I did not want to alter the car in any way.  The history report shows a VERY MINOR accident in 2006.  I found a date matching repair bill in some of the Hertz documentation and the repair cost was ONLY $324.20.  I will include this with the documents I have retained.  Look at the pictures close and let me know if you want more details or additional pictures.  Feel free to call me at 501-680-3800 if you want to talk in person for more details on the car or what extras are included.  I reserve the right to end the auction at any time as the car is for sale locally and currently in the state wide classified ads.
