The three main issues where the battery pan, passenger side cowing-vent and rear passenger floor board. We moved the the battery to the trunk and cleaned that area up. The vent was a job..had to remove the fender and replace metal there to dry that in. The floor board just plain old rusted through. I think I replaced both floor pans in the back. The underside is pretty clean(Florida car, just moved to NC). Also, the steering components are new (just to tighten that up a little), and a couple rear leafs were replaced(broken). New hood

You are looking at a labor of love restoration. We got it to show and now
its your turn. I have a family business and due to the economic downturn
I now have to sell the Mustang. Its a 1972, 302, V8, two door coupe with
automatic transmission, power steering, A/C, Am/Fm C/D Player. The exterior
is oxford white with ginger brown interior and with no rust damage whatsoever. Almost all has
been refurbished, rebuilt, & restored to almost new condition. When I got the car it was an original, clean and solid, survivor car. The only work that I have done to the exterior of the car was to give it a very nice paint job to include color sanding and polishing. The car required no major bodywork or repair and only had some minor dings and scratches. The floor boards are original with no rust. The trunk had minor surface rust beneath the trunk mat which was removed and the trunk cleaned and re-coated. The rear window gasket was leaking and has been replaced along with the weatherstripping on all of the side windows. The clips for the window trim are new. The car also has a new vinyl top, new u-joints, new gas cap, & a new steering coupler. The interior has a new reproduction carpet, new seat covers, & a new horn switch & emblem. The headliner is original with one small tear approx. 1″ or less in length. All of the interior lights are in excellent working condition. The undercarriage is original and only had some slight surface patina which was professionally cleaned, degreased, and painted. I also detailed the entire car to include the interior, exterior, engine compartment, undercarriage, & trunk. The previous owner had already done some work to the car to include a Ford factory re-manufactured engine, dash, trunk weatherstripping, suspension, rebuilt a.c. compressor, tune-up, brake job, & stereo. The A.C. system (to include hoses and valves) has been converted to 134a and blows ice cold. The battery and radiator hoses are also new. The transmission has been serviced the the seals replaced with new ones. The only negatives are minor and are as follows: the driver’s side view mirror wand is broken, and the horn is somewhat in-operative. The horn continuously works when it is plugged in. I believe it might be a stuck relay. There are also some slight cracks in the steering wheel and a small piece missing from the stainless grille on the left. This
Mustang runs great and looks great. If you are looking for a great Mustang that doesn’t need hardly any work then this one is for you. Please feel free to call Nyle @
(928) 580-2510 if you have any questions or need any more photos or information, thank you.

Please
note that experience shows us that the photobucket of over fifty large pixel
pictures posted here are in most cases best viewed and downloaded using the
very latest and most updated version of the ‘Firefox’ browser as some other
browsers and especially older browser versions are not capable of accommodating
the size of the download. Over the years our clients have overwhelmingly been
appreciative of our many unaltered large pixel photos posted in our ads and our
feedback has been that it is very rare that a seller will post all but the most
flattering of photographs. We prefer to expose the complete roll of film taken
of the car, in sometimes unflattering but natural sunlight, in order for our
prospective buyers to be able to see true and reliable images of the car
advertised and that is the reason for some seemingly duplicated shots. We trust
you will agree.

West
Coast Classics are proud to present a rare and all original surviving example of this 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 SportsRoof
(Fastback) with it’s original 351 Cleveland 2 barrel engine, automatic transmission and which was born and still boasts its original ‘Bright Lime’ color paint with all original ‘Green All Vinyl Standard’ Interior, 2.75:1 Axle, Power Steering, original AM ‘Philco’ Radio, Disc Brakes and showing 79K miles which is most likely original too! Inside and out the 1972 Mustangs look virtually identical to the 1971 models but with the Mach 1 model having the rear pop-open gas cap deleted and replaced by the standard Mustang version. This all original survivor with its original ‘Bright Lime’ paint shows only minimal wear for its age in the form of some very minor dings and scratches (see photos below). The original ‘Green All Vinyl’ standard interior is in very good condition with no major flaws whatsoever.
                         The
original matching # 351 2V V8 engine would seem to have only approximately 79K original miles and the car certainly drives like it! The car has all it’s original solid
and rust free Ford sheet metal with its striking original Ford ‘Bright Lime’ paint looking awesome! The car was sold on 6/2/1972 at ‘Gene Jones Ford’ of Austin, Texas and unbelievably still boasts its original selling dealers sticker on the rear deck lid.
             This
particular example must be seen and driven to be fully appreciated – a
very striking example which turns heads wherever she goes! The
engine is extremely strong and responsive with excellent oil
pressure and no oil leaks and which sounds absolutely magnificent, the automatic transmission shifts smoothly through the
gears and the engine temperature always remains cool.
This
must be one of the finest all original surviving example’s available anywhere of this
increasingly collectible and desirable 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 which will surely prove to be a wonderful investment for the American classic car collector or Mustang enthusiast! A rare turn-key ready daily appreciating and daily head-turning condition example of an all time classic America icon!
