Gorgeous Restored Rare Color Code Mustang Convertible

Up
for sale is a Grabber Blue 1972 Mustang convertible that is the
culmination of hundreds of hours of painstakingly detailed restoration
of a tired humble old car that is now a head turning powerhouse of a
classic performance investment machine in pristine condition. This restoration alone would cost easily 50,000 in most shops, and my reserve is less than half of that. From a total
of just over 6100 Mustang convertibles there were less than 200 Grabber
blue Mustang convertibles produced in 1972, which makes it very rare,
but I took a low optioned car and added the best of period availability
parts to bring to you a high performance car that goes as good as it
looks, that gets constant compliments and appreciation wherever it is
seen, whether driving or parked. The accolades come from people of all
ages and demographics. The car  is very responsive, good torque right
from the start, it
idles very well, has a nice lopey sound that lets you know that
performance is there and ready if you need it. At the same time, it is
very reliable in traffic now, the high stall
torque converter works very well with this cam, you will love it!!

Any areas of concern were dealt with by my body-man with 40
years of experience, who has helped me build many Mustangs  that have
come to Ebay and other websites that brought us together with people
with a desire for a rare and restored classic Mustang. These can be viewed here:

BODY:
The
body was stripped to a bare shell then underwent cleaning, scraping,
and blasting of all crud that has collected over the last  38 years.
The engine compartment was treated to a new rad support and new aprons.
The torque boxes were removed and rebuilt by hand since new ones are
not yet available. Both inner rockers were removed and replaced with
factory reproductions. Of course being a convertible, my highly
experienced bodyman welded braces into place to hold the body rigid
while the body was strengthened with the structural parts that have
made this car into a solid and sound body. floor parts and the trunk
and taillight panel were also replaced rather than patched as some
would do.   
      Once the body was reconstructed totally rust free, it was coated
with rust a fighting product, etch          primed, under coated  underneath,
primed, blocked etc. then painted inside out in pieces.
          The doors, fenders, trunk-lid, hood, valances etc, were done individually off the car before
          assembly, and after putting the whole puzzle together, re-cleared, and show polished.

CHASSIS:
Rear
leafs are new Mach1 springs with a 1″ lift; new front coils are Mach1 with a 1″
lowering for improved stance over stock, all springs brand new, also
new shackles.
New upper and lower control arms, new spring seats, new gas shocks all around.New
stainless gas lines, and stainless brake lines, new park brake cables.
New brakes, brake cylinders, calipers, spring sets etc.New 15″x 8″ Magnum 500s with 275 60 Radial T/As(Rear) 15″x7″ with 225  60  Radial T/As
ENGINE:
351C 4Bbl. heads  Block was bored .030, with forged pistons, new cam bearings, plug kit, new oil, fuel, and water pumps.
Cam is .524 lift, 272 deg duration hydraulic. Heads
are machined 4V with new stainless valves, new titanium retainers,
valve locks, and hi perf. springs. Crane adjustable rocker kit, with
stainless roller rockers, on chromoly push rods.New
Edelbrock Torker intake,new polished 750 cfm Holley bbl. new Ford
Racing polished aluminum valve covers, headers, chrome oil panPertronix ignition, 8mm wires, tri electrode park plugsNew dual exhaust
TRANSMISSION AND REAR END:

front and rear bumpers, new hood edge chrome, new fender extension
chrome, new Mach1 grille, Hood paint is Wimbledon white; Mach1 style
