Welcome to streetdreamstexas online auction.  We are celebrating our 11th year in the collector car business.  We feel strongly about investing in classic cars.  Think about it…Hey you could puke everytime you get your 401 statement in the mailbox or go blast this beautiful Mustang convertible around.  Hmmn!  I wonder which is best.  Think about this for a second.  You invest 35000 in this Mustang in 4 years you decide to sell it and it only brings 30 grand hey that is @ 100 per month…would you pay that little per month to drive a classic 69 Mustang Convertible like this?  I would.  The other side of the coin is hey it may be worth 40 grand and you get paid 100 per month to drive a classic.  Hmmn!  do the math is it good either way.  Classic car insurance is only about 350 per year to cover your investment against fire, theft and even physical damage.  So to sum it up:  I get a collectible car that I can enjoy.  It is an investment that is partially insured.  Buy it now!  The timing is right.  We are having our best year in 3 or 4 years why you may ask?  Because people want a safe place and a hard asset to have their money stored.

street dreams is proud to unveil this lovely 69 Mustang Convertible one of the lowest production year models.  Only 14,598 total convertibles produced in ‘69.  This is really a rare car as there were 299,038 total for 69.  A little under 5% in the convertible body style.  That is why you just don’t see them too often. It is equipped with a 302 V8 only (931 produced) with this engine and automatic transmission, power steering and even cruise control-(not working of course) I have never seen a cruise on a classic Mustang.  The color is just lovely complimented by the traditional chrome magnum 500’s and t/a radials.  It has the power top too.  I took it for a nice drive the other day to see how it felt.  IT runs very well, shifts good, the aftermarket remote controlled cd player worked well to.  This car is super solid.  It has a great sounding dual exhaust which has a nice mellow purr.  We purchased as an original 45k mile car but Texas law over 10 years of age is sold exempt.  It sure feels like a low mile car.  check out how clean all the body lines are.

We can assist with all aspects of shipping.  Enclosed is 85 cents through 1.00 per loaded mile.  Canada is around 2500 and our friends overseas is usually 3500 -4500 in many cases.

You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of Florida courts for any action relating to or arising under these terms and conditions or your bid. Venue for any action arising under or relating to this transaction shall be in the court of appropriate jurisdiction for Hillsborough County, Florida. If any proceeding is brought to enforce a parties’ rights under these terms and conditions, the losing party shall pay all costs and atttorneys’ fees of the prevailing party.

All specs, dimensions and disclosures are believed to be correct but cannot be guaranteed or warranted. 3. INSPECT BEFORE YOU ACCEPT: Extortion is criminal act and Feedback is not a tool for extortion and it is illegal to use it in that manner after a sale. It must not have more than 100 additional miles and must be in the same condition as stated on the original bill of lading from the transportation company. Remember some of these cars are nearly a decade old and they may be new to you, but that doesn’t change the fact that they are used cars and repairs may be needed at any time regardless of how short a time period you have owned the car. While we try to service any known defects it is still possible for used vehicles to need service or repairs the first days or weeks of ownership. Not likely, but possible. We do not guarantee the operation of radios, TVs, VCRs, DVDs nor CD players.

11c. Since these vehicles are used, please remember that books, extra keys, remote entry keys, CD cartridges, etc…, do not always remain with vehicles throughout their life. We will not be responsible for these minor accessories. These items are all replaceable at any local factory dealer or frequently on eBay for a few dollars.

12. TAXES AND REGISTRATION FEES: All buyers must pay a $199 dealer service & handling fee. Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title service fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. All taxes and fees must be paid in full in order for vehicle to be titled and registered. If the vehicle is shipped to you a by carrier then we do not collect any sales tax. However, if the car is picked up and driven on Florida roads, as a licensed dealer, we are required by law to collect the sales tax percentage designated for your State. The only States that do not have a reciprocal agreement with Florida (where you will be double taxed) are Arkansas and Mississippi. For your convenience when legally permitted we will provide a 30-day Florida temporary tag if desired. Florida State law permits automobile dealerships up to 30-days to transfer titles. Our title clerks wait a minimum of 10-business days from the date of receiving a check before sending out a title. If this delay is not acceptable to you, please do not bid on our items.

13. BUY IT NOW: In the event that the automobile featured in this auction is purchased prior to this auction’s scheduled ending date and time, FLORIDA AUTO REMARKETING INC. reserves the right to cancel your bid and end this auction early.

 

14. $500 DEPOSIT: A minimum nonrefundable deposit of $500 is due and payable on or before 24-hours after the end of the auction. Ford delivered on the promise of a rejuvenated, redesigned Mustang in 1969, offering a wide choice of engines and a brand new model, the Mach 1, which took over from the GT.  Taking advantage of both the Boss 302’s handling and a total of five engines larger than the 302, the Mach 1 attracted over 72,000 new Mustang buyers.

 

The most powerful production engine was the R-code 428 Super Cobra Jet rated at 335 horsepower, which was automatically triggered by choosing the Drag Pack 3.90 or 4.30 rear end.  Breathing through a new Shaker hood scoop, the SCJ propelled the new Mustang to 13-second quarter mile times.

This beautifully restored 1969 Mach 1 is a textbook example of one of the wildest Mustangs ever built.   Dressed in its factory original and gorgeous Candyapple Red exterior paint with Gold side-piping and Black interior, it comes with a Deluxe Marti Report listing two codes that place this car higher on the ladder than almost all other Mustangs: the W-code 4.30 Drag Pack with Traction Loc, and the R-code 428/335 HP Super Cobra Jet V-8 stuffed with NASCAR-grade internals, with a Top-Loader 4-speed for maximum fun.   WOW !

Matching Numbers Engine and Drive-Train.  Professional Concours Restoration.  Documented with the Deluxe Marti Report.  This head turner was sold new in Cherryville, NC at Marvin S. Beam, Inc. on January 3, 1969.  The car was actually built on December 13, 1968 – three days behind schedule.   Only 2 changes from the factory conditions were made during restoration to improve drivability – first a Hurst shifter was installed along with a 3.50 rear gear.

This rare SCJ Drag Pack Mach 1 invites close inspection, revealing quality and attention to detail worthy of its value as a milestone Mustang.

428 Super Cobra Jet-Drag Pack-W code 4:30 Rear Axle Ratio !

The 428 powered Ford products of the late 1960’s were the most exciting cars to come out of Motown. The fastest car that Ford had to race the 1/4 mile
was the infamous 428 Super Cobra Jet Mustang ! This SCJ was completed on January 28th,1969. It was sold new @ Manhasset Motors in Manhasset, New York. It
was ordered to race specs having very little optional equipment. Purchased for the 1st owners Son, he blew the motor within the 1st 6 months of use. Brought
to a Tech named Hibrain “Brian” Torres for a complete rebuild, Mr.Torres had an $800. bill waiting for “Mom” to pay. Blown away, Mom told Mr.Torres to keep
the SCJ so not to be tortured by tickets & gas consumption for another day. And keep it Brian did gladly for the next 34 years. Brian & Vira Torres proceeded
to enjoy their ultra rare car mostly after they moved to Royal Palm Beach, Florida in the early 70’s. They took it to shows as often as they could. They have
won dozens of trophies & appeared in many magazines & books for their car crazy ways. Now the reason for their long term relationship w/this SCJ was for the following reasons…
it was ordered in the ever desirable Raven Black w/a Light Nugget Gold Kiwi Vinyl Std. Bucket Seat interior ! It was loaded w/the most potent 428 SCJ R-code Drag Pack
motor w/it’s W-code 4:30 Traction-Lok axle ratio Detroit Locker rear end ! All smog is in place except the S tube & heat shield. It has the quick shifting C-6 Cruise-O-matic Transmission mated
to it’s 4:30 rear end. It has Power Steering & an AM Radio. Being an R code it has it’s original “Shaker” hood. It is also a factory “GT” Sportsroof model that were nearly extinct, being the
Mach I was just introduced. It came w/a few GT name plates on the wheel covers & gas filler cap. Amazingly this SCJ actually still has it’s original 4 wheel Drum brake
setup on the car ! Notice in front of the radiator how the factory placed the 2 horns together on 1 side to allow the engine oil cooler to be installed. Only on the “Super Cobra Jets”
did Ford give this setup as standard equipment.

The 3rd owner, Brian Thomas from Palm Beach, Florida, was lucky enough to acquire this icon of a muscle car from Mr.Torres around 2004.
Mr.Thomas was so happy he had the chance to own this special SCJ, but never drove it off his property. He was scared to harm his dream car & wanted to cherish his investment. Please notice
photos of every tag still in place on the valve cover, the upper right fender “buck” tag, the steering unit & the original Detroit locker rear end to prove it’s heritage from new as a real Black car
w/the rarest racing option…the Super Cobra Jet engine with the 1/4 mile winning 4:30 rear end. It is also crazy rare being 1 of only 11 GT Fastback Automatics w/this exact powertrain ever
made ! This SCJ is the only one ever produced as equipped ! It also was featured in the “Mustang Cronicles” hard cover book as well as many magazines including this “Super Ford” mag from
1990. This is one of the rarest & truest original cars to exist having just been striped to bare metal & painted to a flawless concours level. It is 100% original matching # motor,
transmission & rear end as the factory produced it.
