After a Pony car that dreams are made of ? Want to own a real American Icon ?! What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low ! We just purchased this Mustang from a collector in Portland, Oregon and as you can clearly see in the pictures this car was his pride and joy !! Thousands of dollars and many hours of work have been spent on this HOT 1968 Ford Mustang GT / CS (CALIFORNIA SPECIAL) Two Door Hardtop ! I have read several books that we have on Mustangs and don’t know if this car was originally a GT / CS car or if it was cloned in its past. It has the correct Shelby style tailights and correct Shelby style rear deck lid and fin – correct Shelby style nonfunctional side scoops – correct GT / CS tape graphics, blacked out front grill etc… According to these books there are no serial numbers on the car to verify if it is an original GT/CS car so  look closely at the pictures and you be the judge. The GT/CS was a very unusual package that was promoted by West coast dealers in 1968. The Shelby influenced GT / CS (California Special) was available only in Coupe form and according to one Mustang book only about 5,000 were sold.  Both GT and non GT Mustangs could be ordered with the GT / CS option. This car is sound and in WONDERFULL shape and is a TIGHT - SOLID - DRY – Oregon - High Mountain Desert Idaho – Western car which NEVER fails to turn heads. In my opinion your not going to find much nicer ORIGINAL FLOORS than the ones on this car !! This car shows and runs very well. If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come look at and drive this car for yourself. You won’t be disappointed !!

It has what appears to be the STRONG - ORIGINAL – Code “C” - 289 CID V8 Motor in it that has been balanced – has forged pistons – edelbrock performance 289 intake manifold – Edelbrock performance four barrell carb – Cobra air cleaner housing – Cobra valve covers - custom flex cooling fan, custom headers with a nearly new 2″ Custom – “Throaty” - dual exhaust system with chrome tips that looks and sounds great and it runs AWESOME. Your friends will surely hear you coming when you lay the hammer down on this BEAST !! The engine is backed by the smooth - code “W” - C4 – three speed automatic transmission which also functions very well. The odometer reads 17,648 but true miles are unknown. Just look at this thing though !! The original style Black Interior is in nice shape  including VERY NICE Black vinyl front bucket seats with the NICE – ORIGINAL center console, VERY NICE Black vinyl rear seat, VERY NICE matching Black door panels, VERY NICE ORIGINAL dash, VERY NICE dash pad with NO CRACKS, VERY NICE ORIGINAL gauge cluster including 120mph speedometer, VERY NICE aftermarket Grant sport steering wheel,  VERY NICE Black headliner with a NICE overhead console, VERY NICE Black  sunvisors and NICE Black carpeting. This is a sharp car ! This Mustang is quite a deal and you will be surprised at the low reserve. This Pony has outstanding looks and smooth power as well ! It is nicely equipped including FACTORY Power Steering, DISC BRAKES UP FRONT, dual chrome exterior rear view mirrors, factory seat belts, day / night rear view mirror, working factory back up lights, good heater and defroster, factory gauge package, factory “T” handle console mounted shifter, old school traction bars and an aftermarket AM FM stereo radio / cassette tape player that has recently stopped working. All of the original light lenses and reflectors are clear, uncracked and in nice shape.

 

These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners any of which would be pleased to own this one. this car handles nicely and has a good working electrical system. This Vintage Ford Mustang GT/CS is a good investment opportunity and it is priced right ! This vehicle is in good condition from top to bottom and from front to back. It will not disappoint someone looking for a good example of a sought after and hard to find Classic Mustang GT/CS for sure. If you have been looking but cannot find a nice Pony worthy of your hard earned money look NO further because this is the one ! The Dark Green exterior paint on this car is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with really little to no wear showing other than several very small chips and is still bright and shiny and looks  STUNNING ! WOW, Dark Green with Black GT / CS stripping, is there a better look for a Mustang? Check out the trunk area which is also very clean. The Nearly new 17″ Custom Cobra badged wheels and nearly new 17″ Performance steel belted radial tires give this car a mean look that looks OUTSTANDING !! The original chrome and stainless on this car is nice. Very Nice - ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers and a Nice – original correctly blacked out front grill. Check out the Shelby Cobra GT 350 gas cap, TO COOL !! This car is an outstanding cruiser or driver for your local cruise night or show-n-shine! Nothing needed on this one to drive away! This vehicle is in nice mechanical condition and it runs and drives well. It is a joy to drive with its power steering that has a recently rebuilt steering box and the front suspension was also recently rebuilt including new Global West springs. It is very presentable with respect to the overall cosmetic impression. I looked underneath and also included photos below. Again, this is a NICE – DRY – SOLID - OREGON – High Mountain Desert Idaho vehicle and it has plenty of good looks to boot ! Look at the pictures below of the ORIGINAL floors, again in my opinion your not going to find much nicer !!
