car is a genuine original factory GT coupe with its original 289 4V ‘A’ code V8 engine and which was restored and repainted ‘Candy Apple Red’ from its original ‘Springtime Yellow’ color paint with original and correct GT markings and still boasts
it’s original color ‘Black Crinkle Vinyl Pony’ interior, disc brakes
with factory correct large disc brake master cylinder clip-on cover,
disc brakes pedal, trumpet dual exhaust system with bright chrome
extensions through the rear valance panel, 4″fog lamps correctly
mounted on either side of the radiator core support with correct fog
lamp toggle switch under the dashboard, GT badges on front fenders, GT
stripe running front to rear along the lower body with MUSTANG
spelled out on fender behind front tire, 5 dial black and chrome
instrument cluster with round 140mph speedometer, original  C4
automatic transmission, 14″ styled steel Mustang wheels with
honeycomb chrome centers, GT correct sway bar, correct steering gear
box code (HCC-AW) for correct GT quick ratio 22:1 steering (for a 3.75
full turn of steering wheel) and correct sheet metal reinforcement under
rear seat as per correct factory trumpet dual exhausts. The car also has rare factory air conditioning, ‘Visibility Group’, power steering, center console, black vinyl top and will be sold with many rare original parts including the original radio, valve covers, seat belts and a new spare black ‘Pony’ seat cover and the original smog pump which please note was removed for better performance with the A/C subsequently being disconnected.

The original southern California owner purchased the car from ‘Stockton Quincy Ford’ of Los Angeles, California on 8-13-1966 and the car will be sold with its original dealer stamped owners manual, original California ‘Pink Slip’ and very desirable original Ford Protecto-Plate. We recently purchased from its most recent long time southern California owner who had owned the car since 1994 and who lovingly and with no expense spared restored over many years what was already a very honest and straight car and who chose to professionally repaint the car from it’s original factory yellow color to this stunning and striking ‘Candy Apple Red’ color which has always only been waxed and still reflects like glass! The car will be sold with a thick file of records of the service and restoration history including recent service history including rebuilt carburetor, new fuel pump, new oil filter, and new radio. The car has its
original factory Black color full ‘Pony’ interior with matching color carpet and interior and the car has no signs of any
accidents and there is no rust anywhere on the car. The car has power steering, air conditioning and disc brakes. The
car has its spare wheel and jack in the trunk as seen

seriously striking example which turns heads wherever she goes!
The engine is extremely strong and responsive with excellent oil
pressure and no noticeable oil leaks and which sounds absolutely
magnificent with the correct GT two throaty resonators roar from the

and the engine temperature always remains cool.

examples available anywhere of this increasingly collectible and
desirable of Mustangs with the ‘A’ Code 4 barrel High

1966 MUSTANG V8 COUPE 289 STICK SHIFT DUAL EXHAUST

 

Repainted 17 years ago in its original (xcode) vintage Burgundy paint with black vinyl top.  New(66code) deluxe black & parchment pony interior with special 140 mph speedometer, factory gauge’s, walnut trim dash & steering wheel, original working radio.  Total engine rebuild with new clutch, 2″ dual exhaust with GT trumpet tips thru the rear valance,  radiator,leaf springs,shocks, brakes, carburetor, 5 new tires.  etc.                          with less than 2500 miles since.

This is a beautiful older restoration that has always been garaged and hardly used since.  The vinyl top looks new (with no rust underneath).  The paint has held up very well and the interior is like new.  Drive this car anywhere.

I have a 1966 Ford Mustang. It has no engine or tranny or steering shaft. It does have two steering wheels and the outside portion for the steering shaft and the steering gears just no shaft. Also all the glass and gauges are gone and it just has roller wheels and tires on it but you can turn it and load it on a trailer. This is in Laveen Arizona which is a suburb of Phoenix and I was going to ship it back home to St Paul Mn and the cost was going to be 540 dollars and I can give you the persons name if you are interested they are coming out here all the time. I was shipping back 6 cars for one it might be slightly higher but that is in the ball park.      I have a clear title for the car which has already been signed off but was never switched into the buyers name I have taken pictures of both the front and back of the title so you can see. The Arizona plates are still on the car and the last time it had tabs was 1977 and the last time it was sold was 1979. This has been an Arizona car its whole life.      The biggest benefit for this car is it has very little rust since it has been in Arizona its whole life. I cleaned out the inside of the car and the trunk so you could see. The trunk drop offs and everything in the trunk is near perfect no rust at all only a little surface rust. The inside of the floor pans both front floor pans are extremely nice and would not need replacement. The rear floor pan on the passenger  side has some minor holes and will need a partial pan in the rear only. The rear pan on the drivers side has some scale on the top but no holes and the bottom looks near perfect I think that side would clean up but you cant tell for sure until you media blast it. Also below the rear seat is excellent and would need no metal work. All four frame rails have no rust and look very nice and the same with the torque boxes no rust at all. The extensions on the front frame rails that go below the floor pans have a buckle in them it doesnt look like the car had damage on the front I would guess it sat on some rocks or something at one time when it was not stored properly I took pictures of that so you could see. Also a very small amount of rust below where the battery goes and a couple of small areas behind the rear wheels and I took pictures of those. The bottoms of the doors have surface rust but they would clean up and the bottom has no rust where the door skin overlaps. The rear apron on the drivers side had some damage at one time and you can see that in the picture. The car has no front coil springs it is being held up by pieces of wood.      I took out the carpet so you could see the floors but it does have front bucket seats and a rear seat which all need to be redone. A lot of the dash is there but the gauges are gone. This would be an excellent start for a cool looking 66 Mustang or you could use it as a donor car for a rough coupe or fastback that is rusty. The car is very restorable and very reasonable priced. I have seen people spend 10s of thousands of dollars just to fix rust before they can even start on a car and this one is already to that point. The car sat for many years and they took parts off from time to time so I cant really tell you all the parts that are missing. The stainless on both the front and rear window is in good condition and just need a few dings taken out and buffed. The fenders I didnt see any rust in them but the one does have a dent in it, and the fender extensions are in the picture with the parts. One rear quarter extension is missing. The trunk lid is in excelllent condition with no rust. The roof of the car looks to be in good condition with no major damage or rust. This is a four lug car which means it was a 6 cylinder car at one time.      If you have any questions please call me and I will be happy to help. I am selling a 1966 Mustang Convertible. It is a rolling shell only. It would make good start to a project. It has no interior and no fabric on top. The convertible frame is present. It is a 5 lug bolt pattern and manual trans clutch pedals. There is no engine ,trans or rear. The picture you see is all there is. No extra parts. Our feature car is this 1966 Mustang Coupe, C code 289 V8, 2V, automatic transmission. This Pony runs and drives great! It has been in a private collection indoors in Georgia for past 30 years. Everything about it is in great condition, except the paint rates as good with a few nicks and scratches, shows some slight fading from age that does buff up to a nice shine. An eventual easy repaint would bring the overall condition up to show quailty. The body is very solid with zero rust issues ever. You can drive and enjoy this baby now!

We reserve the right to end this listing at anytime should the vehicle no longer be available for sale. The following terms of sale apply to all of our listings.

We may stop the eBay auction for any serious buyer at any time. All of our cars are for sale to the public here at our retail showroom in Lawrenceville, GA 30046/ (Metro Atlanta). We reserve the right to sell this vehicle, regardless of the status of the eBay auction, to the first customer who pays for the vehicle in full. We work very hard to accurately describe our vehicles through elaborate text descriptions and many high resolution photos. When you purchase a pre-owned vehicle it is not a new vehicle. No car is perfect and any used vehicle can show signs of normal wear and blemishes. Please read the descriptions thoroughly and view all of the pictures closely. EBay buyers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle at our dealership before they bid or purchase. We are not responsible for any errors or omissions. We do our very best to describe everything about the vehicle as accurately as possible but we are not perfect either.

Your Satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. If this Great Vehicle is not exactly the way it was described in the ad or better, or if the eBay purchaser is not 100% satisfied after their physical inspection at our dealership, you do not have to purchase the vehicle. We will allow the eBay buyer up to 3 business days to physically inspect the vehicle at our dealership. You may cancel the eBay transaction in writing after your physical inspection with no negative feedback from or to either party. Serious bidders only. Non-Paying bidders will be given a negative un-paid strike against their eBay feedback record.
We require full payment by the close of the 3rd business day after the end of the eBay auction, preferably by bank to bank transfer or cash in person upon pickup. All checks must clear the bank before we can release the vehicle. All sales are final upon receipt and all money is non-refundable. If we have not received full payment within 3 business days we reserve the right to cancel the eBay transaction and sell the car to another customer.

We will store the car for the eBay buyer for up to 30 days after the final purchase at no charge. Beyond 30 days at our normal storage fees.

There is a $399 dealer administration fee charged on every vehicle sold. Georgia residents must pay 7% Georgia sales tax and a $36 title fee. We do not collect sales tax from out of state or International buyers. Out of state buyers pay $120 out of state title fee. International buyers pay $295 transfer fee plus $120 title fee.

Acceptable Payment Methods: Bank to Bank Transfers are preferred or Cash in person upon pickup. Checks must clear before the vehicle is released from our Dealership. We have found Bank to Bank Transfers to be easiest, quickest and Safest. they are very easy to do. We will gladly walk you through the process and we will reimburse you for your bank transfer fee.
